Hail and heavy rains brought down  roofs on three homes in Puerto Pilón, during heavy rains and hail said the Civil Protection (Sinaproc),  director José Donderis on Saturday, May 19. Another home was crushed by a falling tree the National Emergency Operations Center (COE) issued a heavy rain notice for the next 72 hours, according to reports from ETESA hydrometeorology. Rains are expected with electrical activity over the Gulf of Panama,  Panama Bay, Central Panama, Southern Veraguas, the coastal and western regions of the province of Chiriqui and increase in cloud cover in central provinces.

Donderis pointed out that if the rains coincide with high tides, there may be an overflow of rivers, streams, and sewers, and   recommended to report problems  to the emergency numbers of the Joint Task Force: 104 National Police, 103 Firefighters, * 335 Sinaproc and 911 SUME
