Boquete Resident Victim of a 'Hit' in David

Unconfirmed reports are stating that the person who was the subject of a 'hit' this morning in David  was Tomas Archibol, or Thomas Archibald, of Boquete. He was shot multiple times in a parking lot in Doleguita. A woman was also injured.

The assassins fled the scene on a motorcycle until they got to the bridge where the sicatorio jumped off and got into a vehicle waiting beside the Steak House. It was later found abandoned in Boqueron.  A worker up on the new stadium construction saw this segment of the getaway and caught it on video.

In the morning of this Thursday, it was reported the murder of a subject in David, Chiriqui Province.

It was learned unofficially that the man who shot several , was in a car in the parking lot of a trade.

The place became units of the National Police who cordoned off the place.

Certified Public Accountant Murdered with 4 Shots

Reached the parking lot of a building when a guy approached and killed him

Thomas Archibold, of approximately 40 years, was killed by at least 4 bullet impacts, at a time when he arrived  to the rear of the Spiegel building, located on Via Porras, in the sector of Doleguita, City of David, Chiriqui.

The facts given to the 7:30 a.m. yesterday when Archibold was driving a late model Mercedes Benz SUV, gray in color, with Plate BA3998, in which he was traveling in the company of the lady, Mitzila Murgas Martinez.

At a time when they arrived at the carpark, a subject who they were are not aware of, approached them and without speaking, shot him several times, killing Thomas and leaving wounded the lady Murgas.

According to witnesses, the alleged murderer is a thin person, of white complexion and of medium height; in addition he wore a white sweater, a pair of trousers jeans and was carrying a small black bag across his body. (man-purse)

The now deceased was certified public accountant and had previously worked at a private bank in David. He was a native of Bocas del Toro, but resided in Boquete, according to friends.

To the scene arrived units of the National Police, the DIP, DIJ, Criminology, who processed the scene and subsequently the prosecutor of homicides Humberto Rodríguez, ordered the transfer of the body to the Judicial Morgue.

In the area were found shells from 9 mm caliber ammunition.

Authorities spoke

"We do not disclose the acts of investigation. The victim was accompanied by a female who was injured, but who is already out of danger; so far there are no arrests, but we do not rule out to them in the next few hours', said Rodriguez.

In social networks a video has circulated where you can see a subject who matches the description provided by witnesses at the scene in the company of a motorcyclist who got off the motorcycle and boarded a waiting vehicle, while the motorcyclist fled to an unknown destination.

Bochinche.  People here love to make stuff up and then spread it like gospel. 

Even though odds are very good that this killing was drug or gang related, there have been no reports from authorities or even the press to that effect.

The victim was a C.P.A.  Investigators may want to look at his client list.

A reward has now been offered by the Policia Nacional for info leading to the capture of the killers in this case.

The commissioner of the Judicial Investigation (DIJ), Manuel Bonome, spoke about the pattern and the mechanisms which are used to identify the persons involved in the crime of Thomas Archibold, 40 years of age, was killed yesterday, Thursday, in the district of David, specifically to the height of the Avenida truncheons in the province of Chiriquí.

"The mode used for the crime is not common, is given in the case of adjustment of accounts that we investigate... the hit man looking for a effectiveness to not be discovered but there is always Bonome failures," he said.

About the video that circulates in the networks where are displayed to two subjects possible perpetrators of the crime; which left the scene on a motorcycle and then one of them, boarded a vehicle type truck to escape from place, the commissioner of the DIJ explained that are investigating with all the technological availability in the sense to identify those responsible for this fact.

In addition, Humberto Rodríguez Batista, fiscal coordinator of the section for homicides/femicides, explained that once known the fact, that the steps of rigor, among them the diligence of recognition and of the body, in partnership with the respective experts, determining that the death of the deceased, was given as a result of bullet wounds.

The prosecutor clarified in conjunction with police and agents of the Judicial Investigation, there have been various investigative acts, in order to achieve results fast and effective.
