Hotel Milan...take a cab to the office
....or we really like Hotel Parador...it has a pool on the roof and a view of the night lights from the roof you don't get at the Milan.  They are a block away from each other in Cangrejo. Parador is cheaper....and more basic ( ole Panama basic) and gives you a free breakfast.     Milan is the hotel many of us in Boquete frequent.   Across the street from the Parador is Martin Fierrro where you can get the most fantastic fillet Mignon with a salad bar.   We prefer to stay at the Parador...buy our booze across the street at the mini and enjoy the lights come on at night on the roof there.  We NEVER miss the steak across the street.   Cangrejo district is a close cab drive for you.......

Once you get a "feel" for town you can get a bus pass and try the subway. It's a few blocks walk from those hotels.  It's real close ( within view ) of the fancy Church del Carmen.  Get on the subway and BAM you are at AlbrookMall.   You have to try that.  Get the pass at the bus station.  There are booths there. that sell these cards for the subway/buses.

Well, all of this sounds perfecto!  I will look all this up on the 'net...thank you for the quick reply!  Our attorney mentioned we could take a flight from David to the Albrook airport but when I looked at that route online nothing came up...is Albrook airport (Paitilla) not available for passengers, i.e. freight, etc only?  Thx Brundageba!

Air Panama to Albrook and then pick your spot to stay. For the last few years we've been staying at The Toscana Inn in El Cangrejo. We quit staying at the Milan for a variety of reasons including their anti-Gay policy and how it affected close friends of ours. Also, the rooms smelled like moth balls last time we were there, and there was no hot water. When I mentioned it at the front desk, the girl working there acted like I was really putting her out by making this observation. The Milan is cheap but they don't seem to care at all about customer service. The Toscana is a couple blocks from there and around the corner from Martin Fierro and a host of other good restaurants. It's also just down the street from the Veneto Casino which is an interesting place to say the least.

Bruce make a great suggestion. I have stayed at the Toscana Inn, just down the street from the Milan and the Parador. A BIG step up in class and a little bit more expensive. When business clients came to town, the choice was ALWAYS the Toscana Inn http://www.toscanainnhotel.com/home. It is the difference between a 2-3 star hotel and a 4-5 star. When I wanted inexpensive, I chose the Milan or Parador. When I wanted comfort and was willing to pay a few more buck, definetly the Toscana. They have the biggest king size beds I have ever seen in any hotel.

I like the Toscana Inn (great furnishings, friendly staff, and good breakfast). Our only concern is their short term parking policy. When we have been delayed at the Embassy, Immigration office or for any other business matter we have to move our car to a different structure because of lack of parking space at Toscana.

We like the Hampton Inn with lots of parking plus other offerings of Toscana. Here's the link to their website: Hampton Inn (near Hampton Inn (near Toscana Inn)

Big thank you to all who replied to my Post! We now have several options for accom.  And will check out Air Panama again for flight to PAC vs PTY.  We did visit the Albrook Mall back in March and will prob go again...plus we tried to hike Ancon Hill but it was closed for tree cutting!  And possibly the church if we have some time to ourselves.  Gracias! :)
