Dottie Atwater
http://spaypanama-chiriqui.org/91st.html Dr. Tello sterilized 24 dogs and cats today. It was a disappointing day in that we had a lot of last-minute cancellations, plus the owners of 22 scheduled animals did not show up. Nevertheless, each animal counts. Fortunately, six people came without appointments; otherwise we would have sterilized even fewer animals. Abdel Victoria, like me, has 16 rescued dogs he loves very much. The foot of a male dog, Rambo, had been slashed off with a machete. Dr. Tello correctly amputated the leg up to the shoulder. Dogs do just fine on 3 legs. They do NOT do okay on 3-1/2 legs. Rambo was also neutered at the clinic. I visited Abdel on Tuesday, the second day after Rambo's surgical procedures. Rambo was happily running and playing. Our next clinic will be on March 20, 2016. Please call for an appointment right away because the list is almost full already. Thanks to everyone who volunteers, donates, and brings their animals to be sterilized! Ken and Becky
We had quit a few no shows too. I wonder why? Nice work Dottie!
Dottie Atwater
I think there were a lot of ferias or some sort of "entertainment." They did a lot fewer in David also, only 80 animals. With two vets (one is Dr. Tello), they usually sterilize well over 100.
