untilBoquete Artworks Meeting March 17 At the Library 1:30pm Blow and Back Painting This months meeting is at the Library because The Dixie Swim Club opens at the BCP at 5pm. It would be very crowded for us. You do not need experience with water colors or painting to have fun at this meeting, if you do it is OK :-) You have to contact Mary Ellen to reserve a spot or reply to this and we will forward to her. gmamamey@gmail.com

untilBoquete Artworks Meeting on January 20, 3pm - Exploring Pastels! at La Villa Cafe - BCP Theater Uncovering the Mystery of Pastels Come discover Pastels, this live demonstration will introduce all aspects of using pastels. Paper selection, working with commercial paper and/or handmade paper, sanding paper or not, the different types of pastels, color blending with pastels and techniques for using pastels. Tina Schwach is an incredibly talented recent artist. This will open up a medium that not many people understand. This presentation will be of value to the beginning artist. Experienced artist can discover a new medium to explore. We will be projecting the demonstration on to the large TV at La Villa so you can easily see while you enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee

Hi This storm is really erratic in its movements, this early am moving north then it came south some and now seems to be reorganizing and the normal spiral arms of tropical storm/hurricane are sweeping across us. This means rain and potentially a lot of rain in the higher elevations. This can be bad news and rain in the mountains has been the cause of all boquete floods. we did have about 4 hours of sun in Caldera today but now like most of chiriqui it is raining. hopefully its erratic movements stabilize and it goes west. If it comes south it would be a first ever for Panama. Odds are not likely that it will but weather has not been totally cooperating with old models in the past couple of years. chris

untilArtworks Christmas Decorations/Party Meeting Nov 18 - 3pm - Simple and Fun Friday November 18th 3 pm at La Villa Cafe We will be making yarn/string balls and Christmas trees (see below for pictures). These are easy to make, lots of fun and can be used year round. All materials supplied, lights, yarn/string, glitter, glue, forms for $10. As they are so simple, we will be having a party and an opportunity to discuss next years plans for Art Works. Please RSVP by replying to this message as space is limited.

untilBoquete Artworks wants You to have Fun! Friday October 21, 2016 We are hosting a mini-Paint and Play as our October Meeting. Come prepared to have fun! Whether you think you can paint or not, You Will enjoy this meeting. No talent or prior experiance is necessary. Just a desire to have fun and perhaps discover your inner artist. All other materials will be supplied! Order wine and snacks from La Villa's wonderful offerings, and join all of us as we each paint our own version of a “mini” masterpiece. We will be using 8 x 11 canvas paper and acrylic paints, come with some “protection” if you wear clothes you care about! A minimal 10$ donation is requested to off-set our materials cost. If all you wish to do is watch! Come on along, no fee will be charged. October 21, 2016 La Villa Cafe BCP Painting will begin at 3pm Sharp and end by 5 pm Come unleash the Artist Inside
