After a short meeting there will be a presentation on: Communication Strategies with the Cognitively Impaired Presented by: Betty Landis, MS-CCC/SLP, Former Clinical Instructor/faculty at Florida State University Dept. of Communication Disorders The World Health Organization (WHO) made dementia a public health priority. “The number of people living with dementia is estimated to be 35.6 million. This number will double by 2030 and more than triple by 2050.” If it is a priority or interest to you also, come learn communication techniques based on enhancing the quality of life.
