Unread content

JudyS

Question

Whenever I click on unread content, there might be as many as 7 listings of the same topic with different posters.  Is there a way to just take you to the first unread post, then when you click on that, you can see the rest of the unread posts under that topic?  Less clutter that way, though maybe the format of the website doesn't allow that.

This question has been asked and answered. Please see http://www.chiriqui.life/topic/148-how-do-i-find-the-first-unread-post-within-a-forum/.

In summary, there is a fairly large circular dot that displays when you click on the 'Unread content' link. You may also see that same large circular dot in the activity stream. The large circular dot is fairly large (talk about being redundant) and will be immediately to the left of the title of the posting (if there is unread content for that topic). When you click on that large circular dot, you will be taken to the first unread posting in that thread, regardless of how many unread postings there are. You will also see a fairly dark black line separating the postings that you have seen from the postings that you have not seen.

Try this and let me know.

On the unread content, some have a star, some have a dot.  When there are several of the same topic, and I click on the star on the first one, it seems to be the most recent one.  Why do some have stars and some dots.  Do these have different meanings?
