Tuesday, November 7, 2017 Figures from the Comptroller General show that up until September 2017, the supply of energy this year stood at 7,912,784 kWh, while in the same period last year total availability was 7,778,238 kW."... According to official numbers, clean energy contributed 5,373,027 kWh to the energy matrix, higher than the contributions made last year, which were 4,929,053 kWh, which means that it has risen 443,974 kWh or 9%."Laestrella.com.pa reports that "...Among the clean energies that generate the greatest amount of the resource are hydro, which produces 4,835,667 kWh or 11.7% of the total supply of the Panamanian isthmus, and has recovered after suffering a sharp drop last year of 4,330,254 kWh, which reflects an increase of 505,413 kWh or 11.7%. This is followed by thermal sources which provide 2,395,536 kWh, but this year they decreased generation compared to last year, which was 2,746,510 kWh. This means that energy production of this type was reduced by 350,974 kWh or 12.8%."
