Querencia
I am planning to rent a car to go from David to Panama City. Does anyone know if the airport is the same price as other locations and is there a trick to reducing the insurance, perhaps by having travel car insurance for full coverage? Thanks
Brundageba
We looked into a one-way car rental once and the added cost because it was a one-way made it too ridiculous to do.

Yes it is looking like $250 for two days and there might be hidden charges on top of that too.
Brundageba
The add-on charge is the killer. Makes the bus look pretty good.
TwoSailors
Cheaper to fly if you don't want to bus it, and are limited on time.
Querencia
Looks like the best option but I also have several boxes to ship and not too close to a bus route
Brundageba
Fletes Chavale for shipping the packages. They're good and reasonable. Bus for you. One time I bought a used cello in Panama City and needed to get it back here. I looked into the oneway car rental then. The cost was ridiculous. I was able to buy an extra seat for the cello in one of the front 4 seats where there is extra room. I sat next to it. Worked fine.
