The owner of Agroparque Volcán, Giuseppe Cicatelli, explained to Prensa.com that "... in addition to the industrial production of strawberries, a free zone will be established in an area which will house logistics services, collection centers, offices and a cold chain, among other things."The first stage comprises the construction of the necessary infrastructure for the cultivation of the fruits in greenhouses, for which 10 hectares will be allocated. Plans are to start in September this year with the sowing of the first two hectares."...Inside the agroparque a genetics center will also operate to obtain new varieties of fruit.
