Review of Rivers and Bridges in Jaramillo

Mayor of BOQUETE AND REPRESENTATIVE ASSESSMENTS TO BRIDGES AND RIVERS, IN JARAMILLO

With the coordination of the Mayor of Boquete, Emigdio Walker Vásquez, the representative of Jaramillo, José Edilberto Quiroz, the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), the National System of Civil Protection (SINAPROC), Ministry of the Environment (MIAMBIENTE), an evaluation was performed in some tributaries and bridges in the Corregimiento of Jaramillo.

According to the Mayor, Emigdio Walker Vásquez, inspections that were carried out in the Quebrada La Zumbona, in the upper part of the tributary, as well as some bridges that are presenting affectations in their bases within the district. The other points evaluated were some greenhouses, where they made recommendations on the management of their water.

Mayor Vasquez said that recommendations were made to the owners of the greenhouses for the correct handling of the waters that generate these structures in the rainy season and mitigate the impact of the waters that are discharged from these buildings.

With the rainy season the Mayor of Boquete stated that it is awaiting the report of the SINAPROC agency regarding different tributaries, to then take the decisions whether to intervene in  the tributaries, in order to install pipes on the points where they require the intervention and avoid possible damages within the channel of the Caldera River.
