Fake Meds in Panama

Authorities are after the network responsible for the importation and distribution of knockoff medications in Panama. The most popular copy is Viagra, which is then sold individually like Aspirins in street stands and corner stores. 500,000 of the knockoff tablets were recently seized by officials of the Aduana at the Tocumen Airport.

Apart from the criminal infringement of intellectual copyright with these pills, the Ministry of Health warns of possible health hazards due to their uncontrolled production.
