Jazz Man
Is ragweed a problem in Boquete during the month of March? Edited March 15, 2017 by Admin_01 Corrected the spelling of ragweed in title
JudyS
I never heard of ragweed here. It takes a while to develop allergies to plants you haven't encountered before, so maybe you would be here and gone before the allergens got hold of you. Jazz Man
Hi, JudyS, thanks for your response. According to an AG site my wife found, rag weed does grow here. She is very allergic to it and had all the symptoms while walking in town in the mornings. However, when we left and gained altitude, they dissipated. JudyS
So ragweed grows at lower altitudes, but not higher ones like Boquete? That would be good for allergy sufferers to know.
Brundageba
Since moving here almost 10 years ago I get allergies in January practically every year. I never had an allergy problem before. February?...allergies gone.
MarieElaine
Is this why my throat is sore off and on every March and I have a stuffy nose? Probably the dust flying around from the road work downtown doesn't help.
