It is a seriously dangerous drive in the rainy season. We had a great drive during the dry season. The road is in good shape from Paso Canoas Arriba all the way to Volcan. But, if you've never driven in the mountains prepare yourself for some slow going. It is dangerous anyway you view it. Nice Video.
