ARF takes on the feral cat feeding/trapping/release program

Recommended Posts

The cat feeding, trapping and release program was originally set up by Joan James who was a long time resident of Boquete.  Upon her departure, Kirsten and Ray Quimby agreed to take over this valuable and necessary program for the community.

Essentially the goal is to identify feral cats, provide them with food, trap them and have them sterilized and released back into the wild to prevent further breeding.  Currently there are eight feeding stations in the Boquete area which feed more than 100 cats per month.

In the past six months (as of November 2016) 36 cats have been trapped and sterilized.

We need your help with donations to keep this program alive.  Donations go towards food, and the sterilization costs ($8 per cat).  Our current need is approximately $300.00 a month for food and we are woefully short of that goal each month.

We would like to see this program become a thriving and successful arm of the ARF umbrella, and we are hoping you will help us achieve this.

If you would like to make a donation towards this essential program, please note “cat trapping program” when making your donation.
