After a rash of violations a year ago the agency will have 60 monitors in stores from this weekend through the end of the year. It says the rush to find holiday gifts and “bargains” can lead to further violations of consumer protection laws. and advises consumers to stick to their budgets and avoid making impulse purchases and to ask questions about warranties and prices.
