Keith Woolford
100 homes Affected by Flooding in Chiriqui At least 100 houses were affected by flooding caused by heavy rains in Chiriqui this morning. The houses are located in Manaca, Manacá Norte and El Futuru, in the Baru District. They were flooded by the Colorado River, which overflowed its banks. The civil defense agency Sinaproc is on the scene, as are officials from the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Housing. Meanwhile, Baru Mayor Franklin Valdes said that assistance will be provided to those impacted. He also ordered the closing of schools in the affected area. http://www.prensa.com/provincias/casas-afectadas-inundaciones-Manaca-Baru_0_4589541011.html Edited October 3, 2016 by Keith Woolford
