We do not know her story, as she simply “showed up” on someone’s doorstep one day. It is very obvious that for most of her life she was probably on a short chain. Her “elbows” and rear show signs that she was made to sit on a hard surface for long periods of time. Abuela has been tested positive for tick fever, so she will need to be on medication for 3 weeks. She has a very sweet disposition and just wants to be loved. Abuela is a large dog, approximately 70 pounds. When you foster an animal for ARF, all food, medication and vet care is paid for by ARF.
