Witnesses indicate that the assailant first hit his victim with a rod and when he was on the ground he was kicked again and again. The attacked person seemed unconscious, but this was not confirmed. A group of onlookers yelled at the assailant to stop, but he replied with expletives and continued kicking. The assailant was subsequently arrested by the National Police units while the young man ended up with two broken ribs and is in a local hospital.
