They are protesting against the work done by the company building the Chan No.1 dam. They also complain about the constant closures that take place on the road that leads to the area of the Risco Valley, in the district of Changuinola. Due to the intervention of the governor of the province, Estela Stephenson, protesters have opened the bridge every two hours and let a small number of vehicles pass. It is reported that the Minister of Public Security, Rolando Mirones, will be communicating with the complainants to seek the end of the protests.
