Panama schools must  mark  Chinese Ethnicity Day

Public and private schools  must include in their programming, the "Day of the National Chinese Ethnicity" says  a Ministry of Education (Meduca) memorandum dated June 7,

Lurys Cárdenas Academic Deputy Minister says indicates that schools must include for the 2020  school year, March 30 as "Civic and Commemoration Day of the National Chinese Ethnicity", with the purpose of highlighting their values and contributions to the culture and development of the country.

According to Meduca, the application is based on Law No. 15 of March 30, 2004, which highlights in Article 2 that "the Ministry of Education, the National Institute of Culture and the Panamanian Institute of Tourism, will ensure faithful compliance of the disposition and they will organize events alluding to the date ".

The law was signed during the administration of president Mireya Moscoso.
