Forty-five migrants from Haiti, including 36 infants, were transferred to the emergency room of the Maternal and Child Hospital José Domingo De Obaldía, in  Chiriquí, with severe vomiting, diarrhea and dehydration on  Friday, March 15.

Three infants and one pregnant woman were hospitalized and remain in critical condition. The rest were transferred to the Barrio Bolívar Health Center.

"We received  34 children under 5 years of age, refugees from Haiti, who arrived with gastroenteritis, dehydrated, were brought to be evaluated.  At this time the children are stable," said Jhony Parra, medical director of the hospital.
