The Central American Institute of Public Administration (ICAP) was installed in Panama in order to strengthen and promote the country's commercial sector, through a Center for Innovation and Training that aims to train, advise and specialize private and public companies, as well as the professionals relating to the area.

Alexander López, director of the ICAP, declared to EFE: "for our offer in Panama we have created a program according to the needs of the Panamanian and regional market, which optimizes regional leadership, strengthens alliances with SICA countries and contributes with a modern vision of the public function".

The opening is expected for next Wednesday, day in which the panel "Innovación y reforma del Estado: El futuro de la profesionalización de la función pública" will be held with the participation of Salvador Sánchez (Panamanian Minister of the Presidency), Alexander Sánchez (director of ICAP) and Jean Paul Vargas (Coordinator of Research and Extension of ICAP).
