The meeting seeks to contribute to strengthening and empowering indigenous women, as well as preparing a framework of opportunities for their development with an inclusive approach, identifying needs, opportunities and challenges that result from situations that promote vulnerability and inequality." This framework must respect the indigenous women's worldview, seeking to strengthen capacities and opportunities through the generation of tools, techniques and policies that allow the development and full participation of women in political life and decision-making. This was indicated by the organizers of the event: the Electoral Tribunal (TE), the Ombudsman's Office, the National Women's Institute, the Indigenous Women's Advisory Committee, the National Council for the Integral Development of Indigenous Peoples, the National Coordinator of Indigenous Women of Panama, the Organization of United Native Women for Biodiversity of Panama, the UNDP, the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The forum will be attended by Natalia Sarapura of Argentina; Mariana Jumbay, Social Undersecretary of the Water Secretariat of Ecuador and Omaira Casama, community leader and traditional authority of Panama, among others, according to official information. https://www.panamatoday.com/panama/panama-begins-forum-political-participation-indigenous-women-7969
