Keith Woolford
There is currently a global movement to eradicate the use of plastic straws, since they're considered to be a major oceanic polluter (one study published earlier this year estimated as many as 8.3 billion plastic straws pollute the world's beaches) and are something that the human race could easily live without.. . According to Telemetro, Panamanian restaurants will cease offering them this month. s://twitter.com/Telemetro/status/1024988331250200576 Good article here on the subject from National Geographic. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/environment/2018/07/news-plastic-drinking-straw-history-ban/

Keith Woolford
"Environmental groups, however, say plastic straw bans are an important step toward their ultimate goal: ending the circulation of single-use plastic." Kind of a behavioural consciousness raising thang, imo. Just another brick in the wall. Edited August 2, 2018 by Keith Woolford
