untilSoon, 3rd Boquete Book Fair We are very happy to announce the return of one of our most acclaimed events: The Boquete Book Fair. This literary festivity will be from April 4th to 7th of 2019. In this third version our motto is: "Reading, key to education and a better life". For this homage to literature, we will have book presentations, conferences, storytelling, art presentation, the visit of well-known national and internacional authors, and book sales from the different editorial houses. Save the date, we will keep you updated!
Writers, Read Friday June 9, 2017 2 to 5 pm at Fenix Cafe, BCP, Boquete This is a monthly open mic for local writers to read from their works. Please join us to read or listen. Poetry, Fiction, Blogs, Memoirs, Plays, etc. Food and drink available.
Tuesday April 11, 2017, 10:30 am Literary Event at BCP Tuesday Talk Boquete Authors Present their Works at the BCP Auditorium: Gabrielle Reynolds - Fiction - The Lute at her Hand Jim Fletcher - Poetry - Poems from Terra and Cairn Mark Heyer - Short story - A Noriega Housewarming Boquete is full of creative, cultured, and literate people! In this one-hour presentation, three local writers read excerpts from their books, talk about their work, and the support of having others’ critiques during the process of writing. Patrick Allen Reynolds will moderate and books will be available for purchase after the reading. This is a kick-off to an ongoing Writers Read workshop to which the public will be invited, as encouragement for other writers, and a window on the creative process. Friday April 14, 2017 at Fenix Cafe, BCP, 2:00 to 5:00 pm Writers' Read Workshop kick-off. Local writers will read and discuss their works. Open mic for writers. Come to listen and participate.
