  3. Volunteers (like you) are CRITICAL to the success of DogCamp! There are about 40 DogCamp rescued dogs longing to be adopted! Caring for all these dogs is expensive and A LOT of work! A regular volunteer team assisting with the chores - feeding, walking, playing, petting, cleaning up, bathing, & laundry will provide DogCamp founders Javier and Magaly more time for the equally important work of training these rescued dogs, training DogCamp volunteers, promoting adoptions, raising money for expenses, educating families about responsible pet ownership, and rescuing more abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs. Just as it takes a village to raise a child – it takes a community of generous people to provide a successful animal rescue organization! The more these rescued dogs interact with caring people from within our community, the more socialized & well mannered they will become, resulting in more dogs being adopted into loving families desiring to properly care for them. We’ve made it easy for you to sign up and join our team! If you’re interested in becoming a part of the great things happening at DogCamp – simply click on the link below or visit our blog at Chiriqui.life and you will be directed to our volunteer calendar. Type in your name (and phone number) for the task and time slot that interests you most. 6. Abuela is back! This is Abuela. She is approximately 7 years old and has been spayed. We do not know her story, as she simply “showed up” on someone’s doorstep one day. It is very obvious that for most of her life she was probably on a short chain. Her “elbows” and rear show signs that she was made to sit on a hard surface for long periods of time. She has a very sweet disposition and just wants to be loved. Abuela is a large dog, approximately 80 pounds. She was previously adopted, but the owner is not caring for her properly. We want to find a good loving home for her. 7. Honey, Pinky and Princesa are looking for a new home. Their human passed away a couple of weeks ago and there's no one who can take care of them, for now my husband's family (relatives of the lady) can just watch out for them, feed them and clean their area. We'd like to adopt them but we already have 3 dogs and we don't have enough space at home or resources. There's nobody home and we're worried about them getting depressed. Honey is 8 y/o, mixed breed, small-sized, curly hair, around 20lb, white with black and brown patches. Nature is reserved, likes calm spots. Pinky is ~5 y/o, mixed breed, medium-sized, around 40lb, long-haired, color white and black from mid-body to the rear legs. Nature is cheerful and likes to be petted. He is sterilized. Princesa is ~4 y/o, mixed breed, medium-sized, around 40lb, long-haired, color white. Nature is cheerful and likes to be petted. Pinky and Princesa are brothers, at the moment we are looking forward to sterilize Honey and Princesa, as it's most likely for them to find home if they are sterilized. Also it's required that Pinky and Princesa be adopted by the same person/family, they're very close and separation could be harmful for them. Honey does not get well along kids. The dogs are used to be indoors or at a terrace area, unleashed. They have their vaccines up-to-date. For contact please email to giodelalastra@gmail.com, we live at Barriada de las Flores, close to Los Naranjos .
  8. Chomba is a seven year old female that belonged to an elderly lady who passed away. She is ready to be adopted and will lose her foster home at the end of November when they return to the States. Chomba is very playful and can be an inside or outside dog. She grew up around other dog and cats and is a very friendly girl. 10. This girl was abandoned by her owners and is now roaming her neighborhood seeking attention. Lady is lucky enough to have run in to a kind lady who had her spayed and de-wormed and is feeding her on a temporary basis. She is a bit shy and timid, but that's understandable. She previously had a place to call home, and now that is gone, so she's probably a bit confused. She barks at strange noises which would make for a good watch dog. She is about a year old, and is just looking for someone to love her. Contact ARF at arf.boquete@gmail.com if you are interested in meeting her.
  11. This dog is FOR ADOPTION, he is a Husky and Belgian Shepherd mixed, he is living in David on a chain 24/7 and David is too hot for him. He is two years old and he will be neuter in the next clinic May 29th. Please if you want adopt him, come to the clinic, the next saturday and you can meet him, contact us: javierandmagalyhouse@gmail.com or call us to 6563-8686
  12. Smokey was adopted a few months ago and was very happy in his new home where he got a new friend, Gracie. Health issues have forced Smokey and Gracie's mom to go back to the U.S. She is staying with someone who is allergic to cats, so can't take them with her. Here is Smokey. A photo and description of Gracie will follow. It would be great if someone could take both of them, since they are good friends. Hi, my name is Smokey Bear. Smokey for short. I am looking for a permanent home now. I am about 5 years old, healthy, neutered and up to date on my shots. I am a Himalayan-mix. I may be shy at first, but if I know I am in a loving home, I am very social and I love to sit on your lap, curl up at your feet and sleep in the sunlight. People tell me I am good-natured and am a mellow, happy cat. I am primarily an indoor cat and I use the litter box. I sometimes go outside, not very far, and only if I know the outside is safe. I was raised with my brother and I get along with dogs however older cats may not like my friendly nature, but younger cats may want to play with me. I am looking for a forever home. Contact Pat Kehm at 6796-4688 or pkehm2879@gmail.com (cut and paste email address. It won't link directly).
  13. Lady Carapacia TortiGal "Miss TIggy" was a foundling who was rescued. The best description of Tiggy is that she is a love. She is just baby size with silky soft fur which she keeps scrupulously clean. She is very like a Siamese, being quite talkative, very protective, and somewhat possessive of her people and territory. (They apparently call this "Tortitude"). She comes when called, obeys commands (most of the time), uses a scratching post, uses the litterbox or outdoors and (I think) could easily be trained to use the toilet as she has a great interest in that device... She loves feet and legs, so if yours start to leave her, she is likely to follow and entice you to continue whatever game you were playing with her (or she was playing with you!) And she loves to lick (hands, faces, feet) which I happen to like, but she will stop when firmly told "no". She would be perfect for a person or couple who wants a a cuddly, engaging, talkative, cute and clean fur baby that really loves them back. Louise Andrew is fostering her lbandrew@gmail.com or contact Sigrid svtv70@gmail.com or arf.boquete@gmail.com
  14. PIT BULL PUPPY This little female was sterilized in our October clinic. She is 2 months old and ready for adoption. She is the only survivor of her litter as the mom was totally malnourished. Her mom is a small pit bull, this little girl already plays with toys, is in a foster home with two large dogs and two small children. Very friendly and playful! She is ready for her forever home. Call or email Ruby Mckenzie 6671-3021. valjala2@gmail.com
