Yes Twosailors, it is a big place well kept and the food is really great for a few pennies more. I don't know the price of the hotel there but I'm sure it is pricey. We stayed up on the mountain.

Very nice country club and facilities. Played golf there the second week in June. Jack Nickaulas course. The beaches there are nicer than up toward Las Lajas and Las Olas and the undertow in much less. I visited Playa Blanca and was not impressed. I'll do Bijao next trip. We stayed in Anton Valle up in the mountains. Anton Valle is actually the only city on earth built directly in the caldera of a volcano. Cheers

City Mall grand opening May 24th
Hil replied to Keith Woolford's topic in Shopping and Store Resources
Really great store. We went just to look around and wound up buying travel stuff; two certified airline cabin bags,Nautica paid $170 (worth $560), a jacket paid $32 (worth $100) and some food. Eggs $1.09, cheeses are cheaper and many varieties. In the chest type freezer they had nice american steaks frozen. They have enough cashiers working that the wait time is nothing compared to other stores. So far for me, this store beats all the prices on name brand goods and groceries. Great location----PriceSmart and City Mall close to each other. -
Maybe they can catch the thieves with their hands in the cookie jar. At least that would be a start. And then, hold each province school administrator responsible. The school system here is in sad shape. It's all about politics, money and priorities. The biggest problem with all of Panama is CORRUPTION. At least the prosecutors in Panama City are over loaded with work under this administration "trying" to prosecute and get a handle on corruption.

Rumors is a great comedy. I saw it in the states 18 yrs ago.

This seems like a huge project but it is not. Train routes are easier and quicker to build than super highways. As a matter of fact, they have been building these rail lines in Europe going from country to country for years through mountains and coastal areas. Japan and China do these projects with ease-----they are equipped and have the technology to get the job done. This line will be short compared to most rail lines in country to country travel. It will be under 500 miles to Costa Rica.

VERY NICE STADIUM FOR PANAMA. GREAT BALL GAME. THE STADIUM WAS FULL---APPROX 8,000 IN THE STANDS. THE STADIUM HAS A GREAT BACKUP POWER PLANT. THE LIGHTS NEVER FLICKERED DURING POWER OUTAGE TRANSISTION. THE SOUND SYSTEM HAD TO BE RESET DURING THE CONVOCATION AND BEFORE VARELLA MADE HIS TALK (15 MINUTE OUTAGE OF THE SOUND SYSTEM.) WE WENT BACK THE SUNDAY FOLLOWING THE OPENING NIGHT AND THE STADIUM WAS FULL AGAIN. THE PARKING GARAGE MUST NOT BE COMPLETED YET. IT IS NOT BEING USED AT THIS TIME.

I don't know what time my power went out in Boquete last night or early this morning but it came back on at 5:28am. I was in the new stadium last night. There was never a power outage. The inaugaration and game went well. You should have been there to enjoy the electricity and the game!!!!! We got home around midnight and had power in Boquete. There was a short delay with the sound system when the generators were activated in the new stadium. (Edited this morning when the wife got up with the real information) lololol CHIRIQUI 5 HERRERA 2 The Generators worked well. lololololol

I will try them on my next pants. I'm short and can not find the correct length pants in David or Boquete.

I would not recommend Domingo. The 4 times I used him nothing got done correctly. I gave him three chances after the first huge mistake. So, i'll take our business elsewhere.

This is a nice little Sunday adventure. Hunderds of varieties of Orchids and Ferns. She wanted to walk the property and we did. It isn't that big of a place and there are rest areas to stop and rest. The air is a little thin up there. I'm guessing close to 7000+ ft elevation----not sure. You will find a small restaurant on the property at the beginning of the tour. We ate at the Fanny's Terrace Bistro on the way up. Really great food there but not a huge selection on the menu. We had the Pasta with chicken and alfredo sauce. Turn right in Volcan towards Cerro Punta and maybe 2 miles on the right to Fanny's.

Very professional company. I have two hearing aids that I purchased from them. Their tests were also approved, at the time I got mine, with the Veterans Administration(I don't know if they continue the service with VA). As a matter of fact the VA made the appointment with them for me. Highly recommend them and some of the Resound Hearing Aids are compatable with some cell phones for adjustments of the hearing aids.
