The merchants in those stalls at the Mercado are very friendly and helpful. We especially like stall #4. She usually has everything we need including fresh romaine and butter lettuce.

Gracias! It's pet-friendly and would be a spurge at the rates they have!

It hasn't happened lately, but I can recall a time when ATMs sometimes were down for days. I therefore keep a Panamanian bank account, savings only, for emergencies. I don't keep a lot of money in it, and I don't have a checking account, because my experience with Panamanian banks has been almost uniformly bad.
We keep such a small amount in our Banco General account as well. Enough for a small emergency and to pay Cable Onda and Movil through the online bill pay.
-
As a go-around could you not just withdrawal all your money in stages via the ATM and leave a small amount in and close it? We are not advocating not having a designated beneficiary form. It is necessary that it is correct.

Yes. Several places but Ivan and Dorado, ( for sure) sell them by the case and load it in your car.

And how where the hot dogs?

It is easy to get your jubilado discount with Copa. Send a scanned copy of your Cedula/Visa card to docs@connectmiles.com, at least a few days before you want to book your flight.
Make your reservation and check the 24 hr hold. Call Copa, ( or whatever airline you are using) with your reservation number and they will process your ticket by credit card, get your discount, seat assignments without any service fees. They will send you by email your receipt and confirmation tickets.

Great review! Thanks!

That's the place.
Heard the Dry Express near EP furniture in David does seamstress work.

Went to him 2 times to get pants hemmed. We marked them as well with the desired length. The last time he hemmed them way too short. Can not correct the hems or now wear 2 brand new jeans. We won't go back.

Yes for sure and do not for a minute think I do not believe as you do. One thing however, it is very important to understand when people get angry they tend to tilt facts. The motive in how this testimony was presented was to strongly encourage readers to see it their way.....the local authorities as well the public. Insinuation and assumption in many of these statements presented here are not first hand observations of what may or may not have gone on behind closed doors. Nobody knows what really occurred except Dr Handt and the girls. It is the job of the legal powers that be to discover the truth.
Very wise statement! Let them do their job and let's all move along to other topics! PLEASE!

Is that the car guy again taking our picture?

Modern-day George Washington of Uruguay. His country loves him.

Great pictures. We went through the canal on our 42 foot sailboat in 2004. It cost $350 plus $800 security deposit. In case our fiberglass hull damaged the cement walls of the locks!

Great shots!

That is going to be a mega-mine! Wonder if that will be the biggest in Central America?

That should be a big help. As you know we lost our Maggie to a cane toad over a year ago. She died in less than 50 minutes! Make sure you have an action plan should your pet encounter a cane toad! We sure do now! Step by step instructions with the meds ready to go.
We also put out empty cans half full with Ammonia with a rag in the can. Especially in and around our bodegas where they used to hang out. Been doing this for over a year. Have not seen a cane toad or a snake! Hope it stays that way!

Brundageba has probably already eaten this critter too!

Very interesting.

Ahhh. Let's see if this works? Thanks Bud...I did not know you could do this.

Agree! There is more going on here then we know. Very sad for the dogs.
It would be nice if there could actually be a public supported rescue and adoption center that is nonprofit on property legally owned by the organization. Maybe someone can donate some land and others donate construction resources?
That would be a very worthwhile goal.
