  1. 1034914483_Bevsbed3.jpg.876a3eb925b0cba3666789c69a7db22b.jpgMy friend Beverley is moving and must sell this beautiful custom made queen size bed and orthopedic mattress. The set is only 1.5 years old and was only used occasionally by Beverley's guests. The bed was specially designed with a sloping headboard for back support.

Beverley has almost $2000 invested in this set. We've priced this set to sell quickly -- $450

Email Beverley at beverleym@aol.com or WhatsAp text her at 6449-6215.

  2. There is a Chicago based 501c3 that was created just to funnel funds into Panama to assist local Boquete charities. The cost of filing the annual IRS return has become so much the charity is in danger of shutting down. It does a lot of good for Boquete charities and it would be a shame if it shut down.

It would be wonderful if someone who knew how (or could learn how) would step up and volunteer to do the annual return. If this is you or you know somebody, please send an email to me, Penny Barrett at pjbarrett@aol.com or WhatsAp me at 6510-8934.

    Thank you very much.

  3. Lots of Boqueteños don't know that a major tourist attraction takes place twice a day at CEFATI (The tourist center) at the intersection of the David Highway and the Volcancito Road. Every day about 4 Camille Gathercoite takes dog kibble and compost from a local restaurant up to CEFATI. The coati families that live in the ravine know the sound of her car and come running up out of the ravine. Here's some photos:

  4. My friend Beth bought this Oferta Simple Coupon for our use while in Panama City. Unfortunately, because of the national holidays, we couldn't use the coupon for Cocina de la India in PTY.  She paid $16 for $32 worth of food. She'd like to offer it to you for $15. The Cocina de la India is widely believed to be the best Indian restaurant in Panama. It is located on Avenida Balboa and is open from noon until 10 pm Monday - Sunday. The coupon doesn't expire until January 18, 2020. Email Beth at bkabrahams@gmail.com or WhatsAp her at 6795-2226 and she'll get the coupon for you.

  6. Many of us remember Barbara and Ian Phillips who lived in Boquete several years before joining the little migration to Spain;. I received this email from Carol Hurst (another ex-Boquete resident):

It is with deepest sadness that regret to inform you of the passing of our dear friend.

Ian passed last night at home in the company of his devoted wife Barbara and loving companions Tipper and Dodger.

There will be a service TBA.

Barbara would love to see you and appreciate your support.

  7. I want to say that the Jaramillo Arriba water system is one of the smallest in the greater Boquete area. It's also one of the best and least expensive water systems. My neighbors say that it was contamination from the coffee farmers and the water system board had to declare an emergency in order to get a judicial order of no trespassing against the farmers. To my knowledge, nobody has gotten sick. The contamination apparently happened about 8 AM Friday morning and many, many people drank the water before they heard about the problem.
