My friend Beverley is moving back to the states and needs to sell some of her very nice antique furniture at very good prices. The top drawer becomes a desk.

There is a Chicago based 501c3 that was created just to funnel funds into Panama to assist local Boquete charities. The cost of filing the annual IRS return has become so much the charity is in danger of shutting down. It does a lot of good for Boquete charities and it would be a shame if it shut down.

Lots of Boqueteños don't know that a major tourist attraction takes place twice a day at CEFATI (The tourist center) at the intersection of the David Highway and the Volcancito Road. Every day about 4 Camille Gathercoite takes dog kibble and compost from a local restaurant up to CEFATI. The coati families that live in the ravine know the sound of her car and come running up out of the ravine. Here's some photos:

I don't read the notice as saying we can get our packages that were en-route to CVT at the new facility in David. In fact, I've heard that the owner of Senderos Plaza is holding the packages because CVT never paid the rent. It would be great if someone who successfully retrieved their package could post here and tell us how they managed to do it.

Sorry but the apartment was rented shortly after it was posted (September 2018) and the tenant says she will live there until we have to carry her out in a box.

Of course people shouldn't be able to charge for parking in public areas. However, many folks rent out their front yard for parking. Of course if someone blocked the entrance and exit to the yard by parking on the public street that would be a problem for the homeowner.

I remember Theresa very well. She was a member of the Boquete Chicas and also the Boquete Bridge Club. She was famous for leading her Ace while defending against a no-trump bid. Bridge players will understand and smile. Rest In Peace Theresa.

Michael died unexpectedly yesterday while playing music with his friends. He taught the 5 rites at the Haven and was the organizer of several musical groups in Boquete. Rest In Peace Michael.

A memorial mass was held today for Hanna, the youngest daughter of Dan Boville and Nixia Santamaria who died at 13 years old after a lengthy illness.

RIP Hanna.

For us "old timers", Milquiburger was known for good hamburgers, and especially for its fried chicken.

I want to say that the Jaramillo Arriba water system is one of the smallest in the greater Boquete area. It's also one of the best and least expensive water systems. My neighbors say that it was contamination from the coffee farmers and the water system board had to declare an emergency in order to get a judicial order of no trespassing against the farmers. To my knowledge, nobody has gotten sick. The contamination apparently happened about 8 AM Friday morning and many, many people drank the water before they heard about the problem.

There's a rumor in the neighborhood that the entire Jaramillo Arriba water system got accidentally poisoned yesterday (Friday, July 12) morning about 8. The rumor says we cannot drink the water for 48 hours and we have to flush out all of our water tanks and pipes. Anybody know anything?
